Small Business Act Reauthorization

UPDATE: August 2019 – Congressional efforts to pass a complete reauthorization of the Small Business Act have been tabled.  However, we do anticipate that Congress will continue to work toward the reauthorization of key components of the Act on a piecemeal approach.  We will continue to monitor the progress of these efforts.

In the 116th Congress, the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship is exploring all aspects of federal small business programs in an effort to reauthorize the Small Business Act.  In conjunction with these efforts, the Committee has convened a series of six hearings during the first half of 2019, each hearing pertaining to a component of the Small Business Act.  GovContractPros will be monitoring the progress of these efforts and any related legislation very closely.  Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about these or any other legislative or regulatory changes to federal small business programs.  You can view the hearings by visiting the following pages:
