Diana Domenech is a proven professional in leading organizations, influencing groups, and developing people and businesses. She joins GovContractPros (GCP) with more than 20 years of experience in the private sector, having worked up the ranks in the banking and insurance industries. She most recently served as Head of Sourcing Process, Technology, Governance and Risk at AIG. In that role she led special sourcing programs such as Supplier Diversity and Sustainability. She previously held roles at AIG in supplier relationship management and transformation.
Prior to AIG, Diana spent 14 years at JPMorgan Chase where she was Vice President of Supplier Diversity, responsible for leading the company’s global efforts for the $3 billion+ program. She also held various roles at the bank in operations, and before that was trained as an underwriter for the Executive Protection Practice at Chubb Group of Insurance Companies. Diana holds an MBA from NYU; B.S. from Cornell University; certificate from the University of Granada Spain; and is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified. Diana serves as lead strategist around corporate supplier diversity programs and corporate procurement, corporate mentor-protege programs, private sector engagement and business development.
John Shoraka serves as Managing Director of GovContractPros, where he assists small business government contractors with navigation of the federal marketplace, business development, certification & compliance with small business set-aside programs, mentor-protégé arrangements, and financing & acquisition. GCP works on a pro bono basis, supporting various industry associations and conducting outreach to relevant Congressional committees to educate the staff on the benefits of the small business programs and strategies to strengthen them.
Shoraka is the former Associate Administrator of Government Contracting and Business Development at the U.S. Small Business Administration where he oversaw the federal government’s small business set-aside programs, Office of Size Standards, small business goaling program, and small business prime & subcontracting programs.
Shoraka worked closely with the White House, Office of Federal Procurement Policy, and Senior Administration officials in crafting best practices for accomplishing small business procurement goals. He was responsible for implementing procurement provisions of the Small Business Jobs Act and the National Defense Authorization Acts of FY13-16. He represented the SBA and the Obama Administration in hearings before Congress, including hearings with the House Small Business Committee, House Armed Services Committee, House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, and the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
